Yesterday I spoke briefly to Erich (who is in Munich with a mate for a couple of days binge drinking). He called me between sessions to ask how my recording studio appointment had gone. I told him what I thought, which was pretty well. Continue reading ““Free Fall” MK2 – critique”
“Free Fall” MK2 (the studio name for the song version with the revised chorus) needs a new vocal melody and words. Up till now the chorus for “Free Fall” had been (thankfully) very basic: Continue reading ““Free Fall” MK2 – refrain”

Putting in almost 12 hours of time for the fills feedbacks and various parts. Understandably he was tired but declared that he was happy with the songs when he and David listened to them, including “Free Fall”‘s new refrain. Continue reading “Studio – last of guitar fills”
I was going to write about my current impression of the state of each of the songs, before I actually go into the studio, but decided I’d have to wait till Erich has finished his work on Saturday, and so the time to write about my impression of the songs is after I’ve heard them while recording my voice. Continue reading “Studio – pre vocals”
